Beaufort County will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, for the Broad River Boulevard and Riley Road sidewalk project, per Resolution 2025/46.  Beaufort County staff will present the proposed design for the 6′ sidewalk on Broad River Boulevard from Broad River Elementary School to Riley Road and along Riley Road from Broad River Boulevard to Fair Road.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide the public an opportunity to review and discuss the proposed right of way design. The sidewalk public meeting will be conducted as an informal, drop-in format. There will be displays that depict the proposed design, and representatives from Beaufort County Engineering, J. Bragg Consulting, and Infrastructure Consulting and Engineering will be available to discuss the proposed improvements, answer questions, and listen to feedback.
